Frequently Asked Questions
1. How exactly do I pair this thing?
Easy as. Turn your dash cam on first. Once the cam is booted up, press and hold the big yellow triangle button on the remote for 3 seconds. The little light on the remote should turn from red to blue. If it stays red, check your dash cam firmware is up to date.
2. Which dash cams does it work with?
The BTR200 is designed for the newer VIOFO models with Bluetooth built-in. It plays nice with the A139, A139 Pro, A229 Plus, A229 Pro, T130, and VS1. Note: It generally does not work with the older A119 V3.
3. Can I change what the buttons do?
Yeah, you can. On models like the A229 Pro, you can jump into the dash cam settings (or use the VIOFO App) to re-map the two side buttons. You can set them to take a photo, turn off the screen, or toggle HDR.
4. The battery died. Is it hard to swap?
Not at all. There's a little cover on the back - slide it to the right to open. Pop in a fresh CR2032 (plus side up), slide the cover back left to lock it. Sorted.
