Review & Ratings Policy

We believe in a "Fair Go" for our customers. That means giving you the full picture so you can make an informed choice. To ensure you have as much information as possible, we display reviews from two distinct sources.

1. Where our reviews come from

  • Direct Customer Reviews: These are independent reviews submitted to our store by customers who have purchased from us locally. These are marked with a "Verified Buyer" badge.
  • Manufacturer-Provided Reviews: As an authorized partner of Vantrue, Viofo, and Wolfbox, we periodically sync reviews from their global databases. This provides long-term feedback on newer models that may not yet have a large Australian footprint. These are marked as "Unverified Review" or will not display a Verified Badge.

2. How we "Sanitise" reviews

To maintain a professional experience and protect customer privacy, we perform minor "sanitisation" on imported data. We promise that:

  • Privacy First: Surnames are shortened to initials (e.g., "John Smith" becomes "John S.") to protect identity.
  • Technical Fixes Only: We only edit to fix broken text symbols (encoding errors) or obvious typos.
  • No Sentiment Editing: We never change the meaning, tone, or star rating. Whether it’s a 1-star or a 5-star, you see it exactly as the customer wrote it.

3. Localised Feedback (Australia-First)

Vantrue, Wolfbox and Viofo are global brands. To ensure feedback is relevant to Australian driving conditions (such as our extreme heat resistance requirements), road laws, and Right-Hand Drive (RHD) vehicle configurations, we prioritize and filter imported reviews to those originating from Australia.

4. Our "No Cherry-Picking" Commitment

In line with ACCC guidelines, we do not selectively publish only positive reviews.

  • We do not "filter out" negative feedback provided by our manufacturers.
  • We display the full spectrum of ratings to provide a genuine overall impression.
  • The only reviews we decline to publish are those containing hate speech, offensive language, spam, or promotional links.

5. Understanding the Badges

  • Verified Buyer: We have a confirmed record of this transaction in our Australian system.
  • No Badge / Unverified Review: Imported from the manufacturer’s database. While these are genuine customer opinions, we have not personally verified the transaction details in our local system.
