It’s the easiest way to get ignition-switched power to your camera without messy cables or permanent modifications.

📍 Aussie Fitment Tip: First things first - the US "Outlander Sport" is what we know and love here in Australia as the Mitsubishi ASX. Secondly, unlike some other brands that tap into rain sensors, Mitsubishi installations require tapping into the auto-dimming rearview mirror. If your mirror has to be flipped manually at night with a little plastic tab at the bottom, this adapter won't work for you. You need the electronic auto-dimming mirror!

Step 1: Does your Mitsubishi have the right mirror?

Dongar adapters for Mitsubishi need to plug directly into the back of an auto-dimming rearview mirror. You will generally find this feature standard on the mid-to-top tier Aussie trims (like the Aspire, Exceed, and Exceed Tourer for Outlanders, or the LS, GSR, and Exceed for the ASX).

Check your mirror for compatibility on the following models:

Outlander (2022–2026) – Must have auto-dimming mirror = DCA-7B

Outlander PHEV (2022–2026) – Must have auto-dimming mirror = DCA-7B

ASX (2025–2026) – Must have auto-dimming mirror = DCA-7B

Step 2: Grab the right adapter

Once you've confirmed your Mitsubishi has the electronic auto-dimming mirror, the rest is a breeze. The plug is consistent across these compatible models.
