It is not the cable that fits an A129 Duo or a Pro Duo, even though the cameras sit beside each other in the range and look almost identical. If your front unit says Plus Duo, this is the lead you need.

Who This Isn't For: A129 Duo and A129 Pro Duo owners need the other A129 rear cable, not this one. VIOFO also states that this cable cannot be extended by joining another USB cable to it, so order the length you actually need. A standard 2CH Plus Duo already ships with a 6 m cable in the box, so this is a replacement or an upgrade to 8 m rather than something every owner needs.

Why You Cannot Just Join Two Cables

The obvious fix on a long vehicle is to splice or join two shorter leads. VIOFO explicitly rules it out, and for good reason: every join is a point vibration and moisture can work on, and the failure it produces is intermittent rather than total. A rear camera that drops out only sometimes is harder to diagnose, and less trustworthy, than one that never worked at all.
