💡 Pro Tip: Unlock 24/7 Protection

To get the most out of your Sonnet 1 Pro Max's "Parking Guard" features (like Motion Detection and Collision Detection), you can't just plug it into the cigarette lighter. You need a dedicated Hardwire Kit to keep the power running safely when the engine is off.

Troubleshooting & Cheat Sheet

The Sonnet 1 Pro Max is a beast of a camera with dual 4K sensors, but all that tech can sometimes throw a wobbly. Here is a quick reference table for the most common indicators and voice commands.

Feature / Indicator Status / Command Meaning / Action
LED Indicator (Red) Blinking Camera is recording normally.
LED Indicator (Red) Solid (Steady On) Standby mode (Not recording) or Charging. Check SD card.
Voice Command "Take Photo" Instantly captures a still image.
Voice Command "Lock the Video" Saves the current clip to the Event folder (won't be overwritten).
Voice Command "Turn on WiFi" Enables the 5GHz WiFi hotspot for App connection.
Hardwire Kit Cut-off 11.6V vs 12.0V Set to 12.0V for longer battery life. Use 11.6V only if you need max recording time.

Common FAQs

1. Why does my camera say "SD Card Error" or "Format Card"?
This is a classic. The S1 Pro Max records 4K footage at a high bitrate, which puts massive stress on the card. If you're using an old card or a generic "Class 10" from the servo, it won't keep up. We recommend a Vantrue High Endurance U3 card or a Samsung PRO Endurance. Also, make sure you format the card inside the camera once a month to clear out junk files.

2. How do I connect the LTE module?
The Sonnet 1 Pro Max is "LTE Compatible," but the module is usually sold separately. Once you plug the LTE module into the rear camera port (or dedicated port depending on your revision), you'll need a SIM card with a data plan. This lets you view the car remotely via the Vantrue Cloud app. No module = no remote cloud access.

3. My rear camera isn't showing up?
First, check the cable connection. It needs to be seated firmly until you hear a click. If you've just installed it, make sure you didn't pinch the cable too hard in the door jams. If the cable is damaged, the head unit won't detect the rear cam at all.
