On the G900 Pro, check the rear camera cable and AV input. On the G900 TriPro, check both the REAR and AV / Extra camera inputs, depending on whether you have the bumper or cabin version.

How to fix it

The G900 TriPro uses an ETH-style camera connection for its higher-quality video feed. That means the system can take a few seconds to handshake with the rear camera when the camera powers up.

If the message appears briefly and then clears, it may be normal. If it stays on screen, keeps coming back, or the rear view never appears, then you should treat it as a connection problem.

How to fix it

1. Start the vehicle and wait 8 to 10 seconds.
2. If the rear view appears, the system is likely behaving normally.
3. If the message stays on screen, turn the dash cam off.

If it is not connected, the mirror may not switch into reverse view. If it is connected to the wrong wire, the mirror can behave strangely, switch views unexpectedly, or appear stuck in reverse mode.

1. Confirm the rear camera itself is working in normal view.
2. Open Settings and check that reversing lines / distance guide lines are enabled.

This one had us scratching our heads too, so we took it straight to Wolfbox. The symptom is very specific. You select reverse, the mirror switches to the reverse view exactly like it should, then it randomly flicks back to the front camera for a moment before jumping to reverse again. It tends to show up on newer vehicles with LED tail lights.

The culprit is something called PWM, short for Pulse Width Modulation. Plenty of modern vehicles control how bright a light is by switching the power on and off hundreds of times a second instead of feeding it a steady 12 volts. Your eyes see a smooth, constant light. Your dash cam sees the voltage rising and dropping over and over again.

When the red trigger wire is tapped into a circuit like that, the G900 reads those pulses as the car dropping out of reverse and going back into reverse, again and again. So the display flicks between the reverse view and the front view. Nothing is broken. The camera is just reading a messy signal and doing exactly what it was told to do.

How to fix it

1. Rule out the simple stuff first. Confirm the rear camera cable and every connector is properly seated, because an intermittent connection can look very similar.
2. Test the reverse light wire with a multimeter set to DC volts while the car is safely in reverse. A clean circuit sits steady at around 12 volts. A PWM circuit usually reads low, bounces around, or refuses to settle on one number.
3. If PWM is the problem, fit an RC filter between the red trigger wire and the reverse light circuit. Wolfbox recommends a 1 kΩ resistor, which is 1,000 ohms, paired with a 10 µF capacitor, wired in series with the red wire. The resistor and capacitor work together to smooth the pulses into the steady signal the camera expects.
4. Watch the polarity if you use an electrolytic capacitor, because they only work one way around.
5. Mount the filter somewhere dry and protected, and seal your joins properly. Tailgates and rear quarter panels cop plenty of moisture.
6. Put the car in reverse and hold it there for 30 seconds or so to confirm the view stays put.
