CPL Filter Guides

A CPL (Circular Polarising Lens) filter is one of the cheapest upgrades that makes the biggest difference to your dash cam footage. It clips or screws over your camera's lens and cuts reflections bouncing off your windscreen - that annoying glare of your dashboard reflected in the glass - while slicing through the harsh Aussie sun that washes out number plates and detail. The result is sharper, more colour-accurate video where it matters most: readable rego plates, clearer road signs and cleaner footage you can actually rely on if you ever need to make a claim.

CPL filters are model-specific, so getting the right one for your BlackVue, Viofo, Thinkware or other camera is key to a proper fit. They're especially worth it in bright conditions, on reflective dashboards, and for anyone chasing courtroom-quality evidence from their front camera. A quick rotate to dial in the polarisation and you're set. Browse CPL filters to suit your camera below, or check our CPL guides for honest, no-nonsense advice from the Guys.
