Mount Your WOLFBOX Rear Camera on Flat, Vertical Rear Glass. A Hinged Adhesive Bracket for the G900 Pro and G900 TriPro

The WOLFBOX G900 Pro and G900 TriPro rear cameras come with two brackets, an L-shaped one and a Z-shaped one. Both are made for rear glass that leans back, which covers most sedans, hatches and SUVs. A ute like the Ford Ranger or Kia Tasman has a rear window that stands dead upright, and neither bracket can sit the camera square to it. So we went looking for the missing piece.

Trust the basics: We test-fitted this bracket to the WOLFBOX G900 Pro and G900 TriPro rear cameras before stocking it, and it ships from Melbourne within 24 hours*. You get a 12-month warranty, local technical support, and our 30-Day No-Worries returns.

Who This Isn't For: If your rear window slopes back, the L or Z bracket already in the WOLFBOX box does this job and you can skip this. If you would rather mount the rear camera outside the cab, read our waterproof rear dash cam guide first. This bracket is for anyone running a G900 Pro or TriPro rear camera behind flat, upright glass.

DCG Highlights

What We Love

  • Holds the rear camera at 90 degrees to upright glass, so the lens looks straight back down the road instead of at the tray
  • Works with the bracket that came on your WOLFBOX camera, so you keep the original hardware and just add one piece
  • A hinged base lets you set the tilt after the pad is on the glass, then lock it with the screw
  • Sticks to the inside of the rear window with a foam adhesive pad, so there is nothing to drill
  • Small black plate that sits quietly behind the glass
  • Test-fitted by us on the G900 Pro and G900 TriPro rear cameras

Good to Know

  • This is the bracket only. The camera, its cable and the original WOLFBOX bracket are not included.
  • It suits the 2.5K rear window camera, not designed for use with the the TriPro bumper camera or the TriPro cabin camera.
  • The adhesive pad is a one-shot job, so pick your spot before you press it on.
  • You will need a small Phillips screwdriver and wipe down the surface area with some ISO before applying

Why the Angle of Your Rear Glass Matters for a Rear Dash Cam

A rear dash cam needs its lens pointing level at the traffic behind you, and the bracket is what gets it there. Most rear cameras stick to the inside of the rear window and hang off a short bracket that is shaped for glass sloping back at an angle. On a sedan or SUV that works, because the slope does half the job.

A dual cab ute is different. The rear window behind the seats is close to vertical, so a bracket built for sloped glass leaves the camera at the wrong angle and you record more tray than traffic. This bracket gives the camera a flat base on the upright glass and a hinge that brings the lens back to level. The trade-off is one more joint between camera and glass, so do the hinge screw up properly and check the picture on the mirror screen before you call it done.

Top Benefits

  • Footage that faces the road: Sets the WOLFBOX rear camera square to vertical glass, so the lens points at the vehicle behind you.
  • No drilling: A foam adhesive pad bonds the base to the inside of the rear window.
  • Keeps your WOLFBOX bracket: The slotted plate bolts to the bracket already on your camera.
  • Adjust it after fitting: The hinged base lets you fine-tune the tilt once the pad is stuck down.
  • Checked before we sold it: Test-fitted on the G900 Pro and G900 TriPro rear cameras.

How It Installs

  1. Hold the camera against the rear glass and check the view on the mirror screen. Aim for a spot high and central, clear of the demister lines.
  2. Clean that patch of glass with isopropyl alcohol and let it dry completely.
  3. Bolt the bracket from your WOLFBOX camera to the slotted plate with the supplied screws.
  4. Peel the liner, press the pad firmly onto the glass and hold it there.
  5. Set the hinge so the lens is level, tighten the screw, and check the picture on the mirror screen again.

You need a small Phillips screwdriver. Routing the rear camera cable through the headlining is a separate job, and it may mean lifting trim.

Fitment and Compatibility

  • Fits: the 2.5K rear window camera supplied with the WOLFBOX G900 Pro, G900 TriPro Bumper and G900 TriPro Cabin
  • Vehicles: anything with a flat, vertical rear window, such as the Ford Ranger and Kia Tasman. Setting up a Ranger from scratch? Start with our Ford Ranger dash cam guide.
  • Not compatible with: the TriPro bumper camera or TriPro cabin camera. Other WOLFBOX models have not been tested.
  • Not needed on: sloped rear glass, where the stock L or Z bracket does the job

FAQ

  • Q: Do I need this if my car isn't a ute? A: Probably not. The L-shaped and Z-shaped brackets in the WOLFBOX box suit rear glass that slopes back, which covers most sedans, hatches and SUVs. This bracket is for flat, vertical rear glass, where neither stock bracket can sit the camera square to the window.
  • Q: Does this replace the bracket that came with my WOLFBOX camera? A: No, it works with it. Your rear camera stays on its original WOLFBOX bracket, and that bracket bolts onto the slotted plate. The plate hinges off a base that sticks to the inside of the glass, so you are adding one piece, not swapping one.
  • Q: Will it fit the TriPro bumper camera or the cabin camera? A: No. It is for the 2.5K rear window camera that comes with the G900 Pro, G900 TriPro Bumper and G900 TriPro Cabin. The bumper camera and the cabin camera use their own mounts.
  • Q: Can I move it once the pad is stuck on? A: Not easily. The foam adhesive grabs the glass properly once it is pressed on, and pulling it off usually wrecks the pad. The hinge is the part you adjust afterwards, so hold the camera up and check the view on the mirror screen before you peel the liner.
  • Q: Will it stick to tinted rear glass? A: Factory tint is in the glass itself, so that is fine. Aftermarket tint film sits on the inside surface, so the pad bonds to the film rather than the glass, and the hold is only as good as the film. Where you can, mount on an area without film.
  • Q: Can it go over the demister lines? A: Keep it clear of them if you can. The pad sits flattest on clean, smooth glass, and the heating lines also run warm in winter. Most utes have room above or between the lines near the top of the window.
  • Q: Is this a WOLFBOX part? A: No. It is not part of the standard WOLFBOX kit. It is a universal bracket that The Dash Cam Guys team sourced and test-fitted to the G900 Pro and G900 TriPro rear cameras, and it carries a 12-month warranty through us.
