Who This Isn't For: If your third camera needs to watch passengers rather than the ground, the WOLFBOX G900 TriPro Cabin uses the same head unit with an infrared interior camera. • Parking mode needs constant power from a WOLFBOX hardwire kit or the WOLFBOX OBD kit.
• The bumper camera is 1080p and is the weakest of the three after dark. It is at its best in daylight and under car park lighting.
• The bumper camera cable is about 6 metres and has to be routed from the front of the vehicle into the cabin, which is a longer job than an interior camera.
• Mounted low at the front, the bumper camera collects road grime and needs an occasional wipe.

Why Does a Low Front Camera Matter Off-Road?

A bumper camera shows the ground you cannot see over your own bonnet. The higher the bonnet line, the bigger that hidden patch, and on a lifted ute or four-wheel drive it can stretch well past the bar.

On a rutted track, the TriPro Bumper lets you place a wheel on a rock or away from a drop without a spotter. It is just as useful at home: lining up a trailer hitch alone instead of climbing in and out, or nosing into a tight underground car park towards a wheel stop you would otherwise never see. Because the camera is waterproof and adjustable, you can aim it where your vehicle needs it. The trade-off is resolution. How Does the WOLFBOX G900 TriPro Bumper Install?

1. Strap the mirror over your existing rear-view mirror, or fit a vehicle-specific WOLFBOX OEM-style mirror bracket for a firmer mount.
2. Run the 10-metre rear camera cable along the headlining to the back of the vehicle, fix the rear camera outside and tape over the connectors, because WOLFBOX notes they are not waterproof.
3. Mount the bumper camera on the grille, the bar or the licence plate bracket, then route its cable through a firewall grommet into the cabin and up to the mirror.
4. Plug in the GPS module, connect the rear camera's red wire to the reverse light for guide lines, then power it through the fuse box or the OBD port.

The bumper camera run through the firewall is the slow part, so allow proper time for it.
