Run Parking Mode on Your T330 or T340. The VIOFO HK6-F is the hardwire kit built for those two cameras
The lead in the box powers your camera from the 12V socket, and that socket dies with the ignition. Park, walk away, and the camera stops watching. A hardwire kit fixes that by taking constant power from the fuse box instead. The catch on the T330 and T340 is that a generic USB-C kit will not do it properly: Hybrid Parking Mode and the voltage readout only work when the camera is talking to the HK6-F.
Trusted AU store: We're an authorised Australian reseller, shipping from Melbourne within 24 hours*. You get a 12-month warranty on this accessory, local technical support, and our 30-Day No-Worries returns.
Who This Isn't For: This variant ships with no fuse taps, so with an empty toolbox you cannot finish the install on the day. Add our 8-Piece Fuse Tap Kit alongside it. It is also T330 and T340 only: A329S, A229 Ultra and A119 M Pro owners want the HK6 instead. This is for T330 and T340 owners who already have the right add-a-circuit taps.
DCG Highlights
What We Love
- Built for the T330 and T340, so Hybrid Parking Mode behaves as VIOFO designed it rather than falling back to basic parked recording
- Bluetooth broadcast sends live battery voltage to the camera, so the number is stamped on the footage rather than guessed at
- Four low voltage cut-off options, so you can set how deep into your battery the camera is allowed to go
- Draws 300uA or less once the camera is off, so the kit itself is not what flattens the battery
- Detachable input and output cables, so a damaged run can be replaced without pulling the whole loom back out
Good to Know
- This is the fuse-taps-not-included variant. Order the correct add-a-circuit taps for your fuse box alongside it.
- It is a fuse box install, so interior trim has to come off and the camera lead has to be routed behind it.
- VIOFO does not publish the cable length or the exact cut-off voltages for the HK6-F, which are the two numbers you most want beforehand. They are printed on the unit and in the manual.
- If you swap to a different HK6-F later, VIOFO says to reset the camera to defaults so it pairs with the new cable.
Why the Right Hardwire Kit Decides What Parking Mode You Get
Every hardwire kit does the same basic job: switched power from one fuse, constant power from another, an earth to the chassis, and a cut-off when the battery drops too low. What is not generic is the conversation between the cable and the camera. The T330 and T340 use the kit's ACC signal and its Bluetooth voltage broadcast to decide when to switch between full parked recording and low-power impact detection, and to stamp battery voltage on the video. Power those cameras from a kit that cannot report any of that and parking mode falls back to the simple version. The trade-off is a model-specific part with no life beyond those two cameras.
Top Benefits
- Parked cover that switches itself: ACC detection tells the T330 or T340 the moment you have parked, so Hybrid Parking Mode engages without you touching anything.
- Voltage on the evidence: the always-on Bluetooth broadcast puts your real battery voltage on the recording, so you can see what the camera cost you overnight.
- Battery you can still start on: four cut-off levels let you stop the camera well before the starter motor is in trouble.
- Serviceable, not disposable: detachable input and output cables mean a damaged section can be swapped without a full reinstall.
How It Installs
- Identify one switched (ACC) fuse and one constant (battery) fuse. A test light turns this into a two-minute job.
- Fit the correct add-a-circuit taps for your blade type, moving the original fuses across as the tap instructions direct.
- Earth the black lead to clean, bare chassis metal rather than a painted bolt.
- Route the USB-C lead up the A-pillar and along the headlining, tucked behind the trim.
- Set the cut-off level, refit the trim, and confirm the camera shows parking mode and a voltage reading before you pack up.
Allow roughly 30 to 60 minutes for a confident DIYer, longer where the A-pillar is tight or has an airbag in it. We do not install cameras ourselves, but you can find someone local in our directory of independent installers. They are independent businesses, so you book and contract directly with them.
What's in the Box
- VIOFO HK6-F hardwire kit, with detachable input and output cables and a USB-C camera plug
- VIOFO documentation
Not included: fuse taps or add-a-circuit adapters of any kind, the camera, and a memory card. VIOFO does not publish an itemised packing list for this variant, so email us if you need a specific item confirmed before you order.
Fitment & Compatibility
- Cameras: VIOFO T330 series and VIOFO T340 series.
- Not compatible with: every other VIOFO camera. The A329S, A229 Ultra and A119 M Pro take the HK6, the T130 and A229 range take the HK4, and the A139 family takes the HK3-C.
- Vehicle electrical system: 12V and 24V, so cars, utes, 4WDs, trucks and buses.
- Australian fitment: VIOFO does not publish a fuse type list for Australian-delivered vehicles. Send a photo of your fuse box to gday@dashcamguys.com.au and we will tell you which taps to order with it.

FAQ
FAQ
- Q: Will any USB-C hardwire kit work on my T330 or T340? A: No. It will power the camera, but that is all. Hybrid Parking Mode, the automatic parking switch and the battery voltage shown on your footage all rely on the ACC signal and Bluetooth broadcast that the HK6-F provides. Fit an HK4 or HK6 instead and the camera drops back to basic parked recording.
- Q: Which VIOFO hardwire kit do I need? A: It depends entirely on the camera. The HK6-F is for the T330 and T340 series. The HK6 suits the A329S, A229 Ultra and A119 M Pro, the HK4 covers the T130 and A229 range, and the A139 family takes the HK3-C. Tell us your model and we will confirm before you order.
- Q: Why are there no fuse taps in this variant, and which ones do I need? A: This is the fuse-not-included version, for people who already have taps or prefer to buy the exact type they need. You need add-a-circuit taps matching your fuse box blades: ATO, Mini, Micro2, Micro3 or Low Profile Mini. Send a photo of your fuse box to gday@dashcamguys.com.au and we will tell you which to add.
- Q: Will a hardwire kit drain my car battery? A: Not if the cut-off is set sensibly. The HK6-F draws 300uA or less once the camera shuts down, which is negligible. The real load is the camera itself during parked recording, and that is what the four cut-off levels control. Pick a higher cut-off if your battery is older or the car sits for days.
- Q: Is hardwiring actually worth it over the supplied 12V lead? A: If you want parked recording, yes, because the 12V socket in most cars switches off with the ignition. Hardwiring is the only way to get constant power with a controlled cut-off. If you only ever record while driving, the supplied lead is fine and you do not need this.
- Q: Will it work in a 24V truck? A: Yes. VIOFO rates the HK6-F for 12V to 24V systems, so trucks, buses and heavy rigs are covered by the same part. The cut-off switch has settings for both system voltages. Check the values printed on the unit against your vehicle before you set it.
- Q: How long is the cable? A: VIOFO does not publish a length for the HK6-F, so we are not going to quote one. VIOFO's other USB-C kits run long enough for a normal A-pillar and headlining route in a passenger car. If you are wiring a long-wheelbase van or a truck, contact us first and we will measure a unit for you.
- Q: Do I need to do anything if I replace the hardwire kit later? A: Yes. VIOFO advises resetting the camera to its default settings when you connect a different HK6-F, so it pairs correctly with the new cable. It is a menu reset on the camera, not a firmware job, but skipping it is a common reason parking mode misbehaves after a swap.
