VANTRUE Sonnet 1 Pro (S1 Pro) User Manual & Troubleshooting Guide

VANTRUE Sonnet 1 Pro acting up? Lost the booklet? No stress.

You've picked up a solid bit of kit with the Sonnet 1 Pro (also known as the S1 Pro). With that Sony STARVIS 2 sensor it captures crisp footage, but all that tech can be a bit fiddly if you don't have the manual handy.

Pro Tip: Unlock the 24/7 Parking Mode

The Sonnet 1 Pro won't record while parked unless it has a constant power source. To use the collision detection features without flattening your car battery, you need a Hardwire Kit.

Common Questions (FAQ)

1. Why isn't my rear camera showing up?
If you have the dual channel version, ensure the cable is clicked in fully until you hear a snap.

2. Why does the camera get so hot?
The Sonnet 1 Pro runs high-resolution video and LTE data simultaneously. Up to about 65C is usually safe - keep it out of direct Aussie summer sun when parked.

3. How do I update the firmware?
Download the latest firmware file from the Vantrue site, chuck it on the root directory of your formatted SD card, pop it in the camera and power it on. It'll do the rest automatically.
