Cover the Road and Both Rows of Seats From One Box. The Total 360 Rideshare and Family Dash Cam Pack Pairs the 4-Channel Vantrue N5S With Power, Storage and Glare Control

A four-channel dash cam is only the start of the shopping list. Four cameras fill a small memory card in hours, parking mode does nothing without constant power, the windscreen throws dashboard glare into the front lens, and the lock button sits up behind the mirror where you cannot reach it. Buy the camera alone and you find each gap one at a time. The Total 360 pack puts the Vantrue N5S in one box with the four accessories that close them.

For full camera detail, see the Vantrue N5S 4-channel dash cam page. Want the full rundown before you buy? Read our Vantrue N5S review.

Trusted AU store: We're an authorised Australian reseller, shipping from Melbourne within 24 hours*. You get an 18-month warranty on the camera with no product registration required, a 12-month warranty on the accessories, local technical support, and our 30-Day No-Worries returns.

Who This Isn't For: If you drive rideshare in Victoria or Queensland, transport rules restrict cameras that record inside the car, so read our guide to rideshare dash cam laws in Australia before you order. If nobody rides in your back seat, the Vantrue N4 Pro covers the road and the front cabin with one less camera. This pack is for family, taxi and rideshare drivers who want both rows of seats covered.

DCG Highlights

What We Love

  • Four cameras recording at the same time on the Vantrue N5S, so one incident gives you the road ahead, both rows of seats and the road behind from the same moment
  • The Vantrue VP04 OBD power cable plugs into the OBD-II port, so parking mode gets constant power with no fuse taps and no tools
  • A low-voltage cut-off on the VP04, set at 11.6V, 12.0V or 12.4V, which stops the camera drawing power before the battery gets too low to start the car
  • A 512GB Vantrue High Endurance microSD card, so four channels of video loop over the oldest clips far less often than they would on a small card
  • The Vantrue BT02 Bluetooth remote locks a clip, takes a snapshot or switches the microphone off from a button within reach, with no stretch up behind the mirror
  • A 40mm CPL filter for the front lens, which cuts the dashboard reflection that washes out number plates in bright sun
  • Infrared LEDs on both cabin cameras, which keep faces and hands visible on a night shift without switching on a cabin light

Good to Know

  • If you drive rideshare in Victoria or Queensland, transport rules restrict cameras that record inside the car. Read our guide to rideshare dash cam laws in Australia before you use the cabin cameras for rideshare work.
  • Some vehicles cut power to the OBD port once the car is locked. In those, the VP04 will not keep the camera recording while parked, and a fuse-tap kit such as the Vantrue VP01 hardwire kit, sold separately, is the fix.
  • The Vantrue N5S draws up to 10W with four cameras running, so choose the 12.4V cut-off before a long park.
  • Four cameras cover the front, the rear and both rows of seats. It is not a stitched 360° view, and the sides of the car are seen only through the cabin cameras' 160° lenses.

Why Does a Rideshare or Family Car Need Four Cameras?

A rideshare or family car needs four cameras because much of what goes wrong happens where a front and rear dash cam cannot see: inside the cabin. A two-channel camera records the road ahead and the road behind. It shows nothing of a passenger dispute in the back seat, a door opened into traffic, or who was sitting where.

The Vantrue N5S fixes that with an infrared cabin camera for each row of seats, recording alongside the front and rear cameras. The trade-off is power, storage and privacy. Four channels draw up to 10W and write a lot of video, which is why this pack adds constant power and a 512GB card. Recording passengers also carries rules. In Victoria and Queensland, transport rules restrict cameras that record inside rideshare cars, so read our guide to rideshare dash cam laws in Australia before you rely on the cabin cameras for work.

Top Benefits

  • Both rows on record: Separate front and rear cabin cameras cover the driver, the front passenger and the back seat.
  • No fuse box work: The VP04 cable plugs into the OBD-II port to power parking mode.
  • A car that still starts: The cable cuts power to the camera at the battery voltage you choose.
  • More history on the card: 512GB keeps older clips for longer before the loop writes over them.
  • Night shifts covered: Infrared on both cabin cameras records the cabin with the lights off.
  • Clips saved in one press: The BT02 remote locks footage before loop recording can replace it.
  • Clearer daytime plates: The CPL filter removes windscreen glare at the lens, before it reaches the sensor.

How Does the Total 360 Pack Install?

  1. Clean the glass, fit the electrostatic sticker and stick the GPS mount behind the rear-view mirror. Fit the 40mm CPL filter over the front lens and rotate it until the dashboard reflection fades.
  2. Fix the rear module to the top of the back window, then run the 6m rear camera cable along the headlining to the front with the trim tool from the camera box.
  3. Plug the Vantrue VP04 into the OBD-II port, route its USB-C cable up to the camera and choose a cut-off level on the inline LED module.
  4. Insert the 512GB card and format it in the camera, then connect the Vantrue app to set the time zone, resolution and parking mode. Pair the BT02 remote and stick it where your hand rests.

The rear cable run is the longest part of the job, and the trim along the headlining has to be eased back to hide it. The VP04 has no ignition wire, so the Vantrue N5S enters parking mode by itself after five minutes without movement. In a van or people mover, the Vantrue 15m rear camera cable, sold separately, replaces the 6m cable.

FAQ

  • Q: Does the Total 360 pack record a full 360 degree view around the car? A: No. Total 360 is the name of the pack. The Vantrue N5S records four separate views: the road ahead, the road behind and both rows of seats. The cabin cameras' 160° lenses see some of what happens at the side windows, but there are no side-facing cameras and the four views are not stitched into one.
  • Q: Can I use this pack for Uber or DiDi? A: The two infrared cabin cameras suit passenger work, but check the rules first. In Victoria and Queensland, transport rules restrict cameras that record inside a rideshare car. Read our guide to rideshare dash cam laws in Australia before you use the cabin cameras for rideshare work. The front and rear cameras record the road either way.
  • Q: Will the OBD power cable work in my car? A: In most cars, yes, but not all. The Vantrue VP04 needs an OBD-II port that stays powered after you lock the car. Some vehicles switch the port off, and in those the camera will not record while parked. Email gday@dashcamguys.com.au with your make, model and year and we will tell you what we know before you order.
  • Q: Do I need a hardwire kit as well? A: No. The Vantrue VP04 in the pack supplies constant power from the OBD-II port, so nothing is wired into the fuse box. It has no ignition wire, so the N5S enters parking mode by itself after five minutes without movement. If you would rather have ignition sensing and a timer, the Vantrue VP01 hardwire kit is sold separately.
  • Q: Will parking mode flatten my battery? A: It should not, because the VP04 cuts power to the camera when the battery falls to the level you set: 11.6V, 12.0V or 12.4V. The N5S draws up to 10W with four cameras running, which is more than a two-channel camera, so we suggest the 12.4V setting if the car sits for more than a day.
  • Q: Is a 512GB card big enough for four cameras? A: Yes. The N5S accepts cards from 32GB to 1TB, and 512GB is the larger of the two sizes we suggest for it. Four channels write a lot of video, so a big card keeps older clips for longer before the loop reaches them. Format it in the camera before first use and about once a month after that, as Vantrue's manual advises.
  • Q: What warranty covers the pack? A: The Vantrue N5S camera carries an 18-month warranty with no product registration required. The VP04 cable, 512GB card, BT02 remote and CPL filter each carry 12 months. Support is local: email gday@dashcamguys.com.au with your order number and a short clip or photo of the problem and we will take it from there.
