See What Is Behind You When There Is No Rear Window. The VIOFO T330WW 3-CH runs a 4K front camera plus two 2K waterproof cameras mounted outside the vehicle

Here is the catch with a ute, a van, or anything that tows. The rear-facing camera has nowhere useful to live. Behind a canopy it films plywood. In a van it films the bulkhead. Hook a trailer on and a glass-mounted rear camera films the trailer's nose for the next 800 kilometres. Mounting outside fixes it, and until now that meant one exterior camera and an argument about where to point it.

Trusted AU store: We're an authorised Australian reseller, shipping from Melbourne within 24 hours*. You get an 18-month warranty with no product registration required, local technical support, and our 30-Day No-Worries returns.

Who This Isn't For: There is no cabin camera in this version, so if you drive rideshare and need the interior on record, this is the wrong T330. The VIOFO A329S 3-CH puts a 210 degree fisheye cabin camera in the third channel instead. The T330WW is for utes, vans, trucks and anything towing, where both extra cameras need to live outside.

Check Before You Order: Measure Your Cable Run

The cables are a fixed length you cannot extend later. VIOFO markets the pair as 8m; the cable itself measures 7.5m, with the rest taken up by the camera lead and plug. Run a tape from behind your mirror, down the A-pillar, along the sill and out to each mounting point before you order. To the tailgate of a dual cab, 7.5m is comfortable. On a long trailer or a 6m van, measure twice, because 10m and 15m are separate SKUs.

DCG Highlights

What We Love

  • Two IP67 exterior cameras on one recorder, so you cover directly behind and the blind side of a trailer at once instead of choosing between them
  • Sony STARVIS 2 IMX675 sensors in both rear cameras, which is what keeps a number plate readable under a single trailer light at night
  • F1.8 lenses at 160 degrees on the rear cameras, wide enough to catch a vehicle already alongside you before it starts moving across
  • Screenless body that tucks behind the rear-view mirror, so nothing glows at you on a night drive and nothing looks obvious from outside
  • Supercapacitor instead of a lithium battery, which is the part that usually gives up first in a car parked through an Australian summer
  • Wi-Fi 6 across 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz, so pulling a 4K clip onto your phone at the roadside takes seconds, and the front CPL-700 filter is in the box rather than sold separately
  • Tamper-resistant cover and hex screws included, which matters far more on a work vehicle than on a family car

Good to Know

  • Parking mode of any kind needs the VIOFO HK6-F hardwire kit, bought separately. Hybrid parking recording and cut-off voltage protection only work with it. See our hardwire kits.
  • No memory card is included. The camera takes a microSD up to 512 GB, and three channels of HDR video fill a small card fast.
  • The front camera records 4K at 30 fps, not 60 fps. If frame rate matters more to you than a second exterior camera, the A329S line is where 60 fps lives.
  • Both rear cameras mount outside with screws and a sealed cable entry. This is a drill and route job, not a stick-it-to-the-glass job.

Why An Exterior Camera Beats A Better Rear Camera

A rear camera mounted on glass is only ever as good as the glass. On a sedan that is fine. On a ute with a canopy, a van with no rear windows, or any vehicle towing, the glass either does not exist or is filled by whatever sits behind it, and no amount of sensor quality fixes a view of plywood. An exterior camera moves the lens past the obstruction and mounts on bodywork, a canopy, bar work or a trailer. The trade-off is honest: it now lives in the weather, needs an IP67 housing to survive it, and fitting it means drilling a mount and routing a cable rather than sticking a pad to a window. The T330WW takes that trade twice, for two exterior angles from one recorder.

Top Benefits

  • Two angles, one recorder: Both cameras record to the same card with the same timestamp and GPS track, so a rear-end and a side swipe land in one synchronised file.
  • Built for weather: IP67 housings on both rear cameras handle rain, road spray, dust and a wash at the truck stop.
  • Readable plates after dark: Triple Sony STARVIS 2 sensors with HDR on every channel hold detail through headlight glare instead of blowing it out.
  • Nothing on show: The screenless body sits behind the mirror and the tamper-resistant cover locks the card slot away.
  • One file to hand over: Three-channel multiplex merges all three views into one video, so an insurer gets a single file rather than three.
  • Parking cover without a flat battery: Pair it with a dedicated battery pack and parking mode runs off the pack, with the charge left stamped onto the footage.

How It Installs

  1. Mount the front camera behind the rear-view mirror on the supplied static sticker and fit the CPL filter. Around 15 minutes.
  2. Choose both camera positions and drill the mounting holes. Common spots are the tailgate handle recess, the canopy rear, a bull bar or a trailer frame. Seal every hole you make.
  3. Route both cables down the A-pillar, along the sill trim and out to each camera. This needs trim removal tools. Allow 60 to 90 minutes for the pair.
  4. Power the front camera from the supplied USB-C car charger, or fit the HK6-F hardwire kit to the fuse box if you want parking mode. Then format the card in the camera and check both exterior views in the VIOFO app before the trim goes back.

We do not install cameras ourselves, but you can find someone local in our directory of independent installers. They are independent businesses, so you book and contract directly with them.

Fitment & Compatibility

  • Vehicle power: 12V and 24V systems, covering cars, utes, vans, light trucks and heavy vehicles.
  • Best suited to: Dual cab utes with canopies or trays, vans with no rear glass, box trailers, caravans and light trucks.
  • Mounting surface: Each camera needs a flat, rigid surface that takes four screws and a sealed cable entry. Bodywork, a canopy, a bar or a steel trailer frame all work.
  • Storage: microSD up to 512 GB. This model has no external SSD support.
  • Parking mode: Requires the VIOFO HK6-F hardwire kit. The HK6 and HK6-A kits are built for other models and will not work here.
  • Not compatible with: Cabin or interior cameras, which this version does not support, and VIOFO A229 or A129 rear cameras and cables, which use different connectors.
  • Australian fitment note: Cable lengths are fixed at purchase. If you are unsure whether 7.5m reaches, send us a photo of the vehicle and the camera positions and we will tell you before you buy.

Cover Both Angles Today

Add the T330WW 3-CH to your cart and pick up a VIOFO industrial microSD card and the HK6-F hardwire kit while you are here, because it needs the first to record at all and the second to watch the vehicle while parked. Parking Mode: 24/7 Peace of Mind

Hybrid Parking Recording. Vehicle Battery Protection. Low Power Impact Detection. Note: to use parking mode, a VIOFO HK6-F hardwire kit is required and sold separately.

Hybrid parking starts in time-lapse, low-bitrate or event-detection recording, then switches to impact detection once your set cut-off time or battery voltage is reached. Cut-off voltage is only available with the VIOFO HK6-F hardwire kit.

Battery Pack Ready. Longer Parking, Zero Battery Drain

Pair with the VIOFO BP100 or BP60 battery pack (sold separately) and parking mode runs on the battery pack's own power, for hours longer, with your vehicle battery untouched. Smart Bluetooth features keep the battery level in view, in the app and on the footage itself. Connected to the battery pack, the dash cam reads its level wirelessly and ends parking recording at the reserve you choose (5%, 8%, 10% or 15%). The reserve keeps impact detection armed, so the camera can still wake and record if the car is hit. Enable the Battery Pack Capacity stamp and every clip records the remaining battery level at the moment of recording.

Instant Footage Lock. Press It, Protect It

One touch is all it takes. Alongside automatic G-sensor impact locking, the side button lets you instantly secure key moments whenever you want. Footage of road incidents, hit-and-runs, or close calls won't be overwritten easily.

FAQ

  • Q: Can I mount one camera on the vehicle and the other on a trailer? A: Not on a detachable trailer. Both cables are hard-wired to the recorder and cannot be unplugged at a coupling, so a camera on a trailer you drop off would have to be unthreaded each time. On a permanently attached body, such as a tray, canopy, horse float or caravan that stays hitched, it works well. For a trailer you swap, mount both cameras on the towing vehicle instead.
  • Q: Are the exterior cameras really waterproof, or just water resistant? A: They are IP67 rated, which means sealed against dust and able to survive immersion in a metre of water for 30 minutes. In practice that covers Australian rain, road spray, corrugated dirt roads and a wash at the truck stop. Avoid pointing a high-pressure lance directly at the cable gland from close range, because IP67 does not cover pressurised jets.
  • Q: Can I add a cabin camera to this model later? A: No. The T330WW uses both of its extra channels for the two waterproof exterior cameras, and there is no spare port for an interior camera. If you want front, rear and cabin, the VIOFO A329S 3-CH or the T330W 3-CH is the version to buy. Swapping later means a different camera, not an add-on part.
  • Q: What size memory card do I actually need? A: For a 4K front plus two 2K channels, 256 GB is the sensible starting point and 512 GB is better if you run parking mode. A 128 GB card works but loops over roughly every two days of ordinary driving. Use a VIOFO industrial microSD card. Consumer cards are built for photos, not for writing continuously for years.
  • Q: What happens if I do not fit the hardwire kit? A: The camera runs normally from the supplied USB-C car charger whenever the ignition is on, and stops when you switch off. You lose parking mode entirely, along with hybrid recording, cut-off voltage protection and battery voltage monitoring. If parking cover is the reason you are buying a three-channel camera, budget for the HK6-F at the same time.
  • Q: How is this different from the two-channel waterproof models? A: A two-channel waterproof model gives you one exterior camera, so you choose between covering directly behind or covering an angle. The T330WW records both at once to the same card and the same timeline. On a tray, a long trailer or a truck body, that second angle is usually the difference between seeing an incident and inferring it.
  • Q: Will it record if one of the exterior cameras is disconnected? A: Yes. The front camera keeps recording and the remaining exterior camera keeps recording, and the camera announces the missing channel on start-up. That matters if you damage a cable on a work vehicle, because you are not off the road while you wait for a replacement. Email gday@dashcamguys.com.au and we will sort a replacement camera or cable.
