It uses first-generation Sony STARVIS sensors (IMX335 front, IMX307 rear) rather than newer STARVIS 2 ones, it has no HDR, no voice control and no touchscreen (button control on a 3-inch screen), and its rear camera is not weatherproof. If night-time plate capture is the priority, step up to the X5, which puts Sony STARVIS 2 on the front. Parking mode also needs a hardwire kit, sold separately.
