Who This Isn't For: If nobody rides with you, the cabin camera goes unused, and the WOLFBOX X3 trades it for 60fps and driver alerts (ADAS). Good to Know

• Parking mode needs constant power from the WOLFBOX hardwire kit or the WOLFBOX OBD kit, sold separately. The 4A kits for the G900 mirrors are not the ones you want.
• The cabin camera is fixed in the main unit, so it views the cabin from the windscreen and cannot be aimed separately. Front headrests can hide part of the back row.
• WOLFBOX publishes no waterproof rating for the rear camera, and the manual mounts it inside on the rear glass. Its cable is about 6 metres, and WOLFBOX says not to splice it to extend it, so measure a long wagon or van first.

Why Does a Built-In Cabin Camera Matter?

A built-in cabin camera gives you the inside of the car on record without a third camera to mount and wire. Most three-channel dash cams add the cabin view as a separate module on a short cable, or build all three cameras into a mirror that replaces the view you already have.

The WOLFBOX X5 puts the inside camera in the same small body as the 4K front camera, facing back into the car, and you switch it on or off with the Internal Recording setting. That covers the moments a front and rear camera cannot: a passenger dispute, a learner driver's lesson, or what happened in a work vehicle someone else was driving. The trade-off is position and detail. The cabin camera records 1080p at 25fps from the windscreen, so it shows people and actions clearly rather than fine detail, and you cannot move it closer to the back seat. How Does the WOLFBOX X5 Install?

1. Clip the GPS mount fully onto the camera, then stick it to the windscreen behind the mirror using the electrostatic sticker and adhesive pad, with the cabin camera facing into the car.
2. Run the power cable along the headlining and down the A-pillar with the included trim tool, to the 12V socket or to a WOLFBOX hardwire kit if you want parking mode.
3. Clean the rear glass, fix the rear camera inside it on an electrostatic sticker, and run its 6-metre cable along the headlining to the rear camera port on the main unit.
4. Insert the 128GB card and format it in the camera, set Mirror Flip or Rear Cam Flip if the rear image needs it, then connect the WOLFBOX app.

The main unit is small enough that most of the job is hiding the rear cable. If the camera will not power on, check that the GPS mount is clicked fully home, because WOLFBOX notes that is the usual cause.
